A.M Fuels was formed in 2012, by a group of Croydon residents who simply want to be greener, reduce impact on the environment and live more sustainable lives.

We are a group of ordinary working people who, driven by costs of £1.50 per litre for mineral diesel at the pumps, decided to explore cheaper and greener ways to fuel our vehicles and heat our homes.

What Can A.M. Fuels Do For You?

A.M. Fuels is a registered waste carrier, broker and dealer (CB/KE5499CK). We collect waste cooking oil/vegetable oil (WVO)  from restaurants, schools, cafe's, bar's, clubs and colleges in the Croydon area - COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE.

The waste vegetable/cooking oil (WVO) is recycled locally and made into bio fuels/biodiesel. Waste Vegetable/Cooking Oil (WVO) is extremely hard to dispose of and often will be poured into drains. This causes blockages in the sewer system when the oil solidifies and is very hard and costly to clean and remove when this happens. This cost is ultimately passed on to the taxpayer through the local authority charges - everyone is affected. Biodiesel is significantly cheaper than mineral diesel. It is a completely sustainable product made from oils such as rapseed, sunflower, animal fats (tallow oil) etc There is no sulphur in biodiesel, so when it burns, it gives off zero emissions.

Biodiesel has better lubricating properties and a much higher cetane rating than today's mineral/sulphur diesel fuels. It also reduces fuel system wear and in low levels (in high pressure systems) increases the life of the fuel injection equipment.

Some would also argue that biodiesel runs more smoothly in the engine and you get a better reponse......that we leave to you to decide!
